Sun Valley Loses a Great Friend
Sun Valley and the entire State of Idaho lost a great friend this week. Jim Cimino was a friend to our community and state. I was fortunate to have had the honor to know him and especially enjoyed our numerous talks at the Post Office where we would see each other almost weekly. Jim let me take this photo of him on September 3, 2010 at none other than Memory Park during the Wagon Day’s Grand Marshall Ceremony for Clint Stennett. He will be greatly missed.

Sun Valley Thunderstorm, March 31, 2012
The first thunderstorm of the year happened late this afternoon in Sun Valley. After a beautiful day, a big twist and bend in the weather created an intense thunderstorm that passed over the town. Shortly after the storm cleared, the sun came out again and I captured this photo of the hill above the Sunrise subdivision in Elkhorn.
Justice

Welcome to the New Look of My Blog
Since I started Nils Ribi’s Blog in 2006, I have used a nice and useful format provided by WordPress that has worked quite well. As with all things that have been around for a while, it is time for an update, so for the past few days, I’ve been working on what you now see. This blog page format is also more photo friendly and will give me the opportunity to share more of my photos with you, as well as updates on City matters. I hope you like it.

A Good Day for Democracy in Sun Valley
Seven and a half hour City Council meeting yesterday…proud of my fellow Council members…we passed a budget for next year that doesn’t raise taxes, passed a 5-year Capital Improvement Plan and worked on a way to pay for it, rejected a plan to change our Comprehensive Plan after listening to 160 citizens testify against it…it was a good day for democracy!
